Ama sa (Good Day),
My colonial name is Lynzee Rae. My Gitxsanimax name is T’ipyukw which means “To decend”. I was born and raised in Kispiox, BC. I’m a member of the Gitxsan and Haisla nations. I was born into the Lax Gibuu (wolf) clan and my Wilp is xGwoimtxw which means “Springtime”. I am currently living on my home territory and raising my three boys while attending UNBC to obtain my Bachelor of Education. I chose to return home to raise my family. I love the richness of our culture and the vast diversity in the arts here. I wanted my children to grow up with their extended family closeby and to feel pride in their heredity.
